Under the Eaves

Thank goodness for the nursery and florist. My lilacs are just about finished, and there's nothing else happening in my garden to bring inside.

When I opened the door today I felt HEAT! A good feeling, I must say. It all just makes me want a change of scene. We have a couple of patio benches that are good for staging new displays. Protected  under the eaves from the spring winds we can enjoy them for awhile.

I love vintage garden things, and they tend to grow in my patio like weeds! The sifter, tin baskets, and watering cans often form a random still life of their own.

We're nowhere near the beach. All the more reason to bring the beach to us! I was thrilled to find a couple of beach glass bottles that of course have nothing to do with the beach. Shells seem like a natural to display with them.

I've used a vintage flocked sheer curtain as a backdrop for interest, and to soften everything. It's a sort of short term "wallpaper."

Someday I'll plant my own spring bulbs! They are perfect for Easter decorations.

One of my favorite flower flogs with vintage botanical cards.

Have a great new week, and a wonderful holiday!
Ciao! for now!
