The biggest difference between Linux and Windows

The biggest difference between Windows and Linux is not even so much the powerful command line shell.
Which you now already kind of also have on Windows with the PowerShell.
The thing is about package and configuration management that you are able to do in the command line with the different package managers.
Like for example apt and yum. To my experience apt is more interactive and yum is more silent. By default. That would be in my eyes the main differences between RedHat and Debian camps.
On Mac you also can install something like MacPorts, Fink or Homebrew:

But thats another story.

Here you can check some more info/discussion about this huge difference:

Oh, and wow, i see something new here. There seems finally to exist some kind of Windows package manager named Chocolatey:

edit:
p.s. Ah and yes,  ofc, just to mention. The openness of Linux makes it possible to have Package Managers and Repositories (the thing that existed before App Stores) where the package manager gets all the Libraries that it needs/wants. In a Windows world where copying of code is worth millions of dollars its not the way to do things. :D
